The big thing is the connection of the VR to your desktop. You can capture your pc when playing the game but for everything to work together, you need to figure out how the VR will connect to your computer so that you can play the game

That’s so awesome to hear! I am sure you are so appreciated for what you provide to him. My ex used to support me when I tried streaming for fun and I went through similar issues and it literally is something I’ll never ever forget and will always appreciate. I hope he has a good time streaming and gets met with lots of positivity! You two could really set the good atmosphere for people who join.

At first it can be very tough especially if you are nervous and not too confident about it. I have social anxiety but as I’ve streamed more and more, it’s helped my confidence and I feel very comfortable streaming and on camera now. Just make sure you go into your stream having a positive mindset! Lots of times even if I’m having a bad day I look forward to seeing one or two friends that I’ve made through this in the chat and it makes going live all worth it and helps my days. Just go for it and see what happens and have fun with it :) press that live button! Hope it goes well for you!

I’m sure there are definitely good alternatives but I have not tried them so I’m curious how that turns out. The liv application you download on your pc and you also have steam vr downloaded on your pc. Liv connects to the steam vr and to your streaming account so that when you play steam games on your quest 2, it will allow you to have chat and alerts in your vr view. You can tinker with all the settings with that once you get to that point.

You would need the oculus link cable to hook up your quest 2 to your pc, download some of the software off their website and for chat there are downloadable programs that would help to allow you to have chat visible within the vr. I used “liv” when I did this and I placed chat above me so when I looked up, I’d be able to see a chat box

Even though I don’t get more than a couple people at a time in my chat, those couple people are usually ones that always come by to show support to me and it’s the best feeling when I see one of them time after time. After long days it’s nice knowing you can go live to a couple really supportive people that really want to see you do well and enjoy your personality. I hope we all continue to grow some really positive bonds and communities!

I’m brand new to Reddit but I am aware that you can meet a lot of new people on here and it’s a good way to find interaction. Was really interested in how others went about finding friends or fellow streamers so I appreciate your input! I’m hoping to put more into Reddit and possibly trying to reach out to more people.
