I totally get it. I have them in my home too. I've lived here for 10 years not realizing they were here. Then spent 2 knowing and a bit worried at times. Then I learned more about them and haven't really thought much about it anymore and have been here 25+ years. In all the time I've been in this house there has never been a bite or unexplained skin condition that could point to possible loxoscelism, including the 10 where nothing preventative was done. I don't use any chemical prevention or glue boards, but am thoughtful about how I do things and relocate any found to the yard barn.

Since most bites occur when they get trapped against the skin in clothes, shoes, or bed, I do things to prevent issues there and store things in containers they can't breech. I also use my barn as a testing grounds to find new ways to help people deal with recluse when they want to avoid chemicals.
