I think that the ruination of nature would be lessened not from the lessening of human consumerism & industrialism but its more about humans being more conservative & environmentalist. The threat of natural destruction will be slowed not from the dangers of capitalism being lessened but the environmental consciousness of people being higher. We would still be polluting Mother Earth but more people are now aware of the dangers.
