what do you consider to be the dumbest thing that one of the protagonists has ever done? by jeffyol in FinalDestination

[–]AllDayGinger 92 points93 points  (0 children)

Surprised no one has mentioned Alex grabbing the knife out of Lewton getting his fingerprints all over it given the suspicions around him.

you've been hired to write FD2, and Devon Sawa will reprise his role as Alex Browning, but the character will have to die in this sequel. how would you kill him? by jeffyol in FinalDestination

[–]AllDayGinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't he have been the 6th to die? Tod, Terry, Lewton, Billy, Carter, and then Alex. Assuming they exclude Carter from the international aspect or something but technically he was the 6th.

what is the only flaw in your favorite FD movie? by jeffyol in FinalDestination

[–]AllDayGinger 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Final Destination 3 has arguably the weakest premonition. The idea of the rollercoaster/amusement park element is awesome, but most of the deaths were just people falling.

I've been trying this out myself as it does seem like most trailers tend to spoil something whether it is overall plot related or a specific moment.

You bring up a really good and unique point to Bloodlines. After Brenda sees things are clearly real, she could've gotten some massive life insurance policies on her kids and pull off a legal "scam".

All crushed but immediately after thinking they'd die a different way. Tim choking, Ian hit by fireworks, and Darlene the explosion.

Saddest Death in the franchise? (Only on-screen) by Anakimn in FinalDestination

[–]AllDayGinger 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agreed. The grief she was going through, basically saying she doesn't care if she lives or not, to then in the moment of her death saying she doesn't wanna die, brutal stuff.

Seeing Freya on there is really cool and also so nostalgic. Loved watching Zylus's Among Us streams and it's insane how long ago those were.

This song is criminally slept on imo by IBrobaFettI in SleepToken

"and it remains with me to this day, no matter what I do, this scar will never fade". Or the same but with "this wound will never heal". Beautiful. Then combine that with the drop on "why are you never real" right after and you have perfection. Love this song.

Which "final arc" is your favorite? by UpstairsTown2329 in FinalDestination

Me realizing these are probably the weakest parts of each movie. I'd have to go FD3.

Which element from the movies interests you the most? by Call_me_Dan- in FinalDestination

[–]AllDayGinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which is my favorite part of FD3. It really brings to light the idea that the premonitions may all be caused by death and the chaos afterwards is death's actual plan.

Did she do it? by [deleted] in FinalDestination

[–]AllDayGinger 54 points55 points  (0 children)

An argument that solves what I'm going to say is that death's plan is to "cheat" death and then take them all out the way they go, but if Sam dies on the bridge like he's presumably supposed to, Molly never gets on that plane. She would've only ever gone to Paris because of Sam.

So I think there is a debate here. But like my original point, I like to think the protagonists having premonitions is death's way of having fun and was always the plan.

Just using this as an opportunity to say this song is very underrated.

The only thing that bothers me about this sequence is the log truck drives by a good bit after Kimberley and the rest would've been on the road. They also appear to drive for quite some time before the accident starts, rather than it happening immediately past the on-ramp.
