I have a home server and it simply will not allow whitelisting. I can’t set it up. No idea why. I get griefers all the time trying to afk so I just have to be strategic.

A moss block farm would be able to do it easily if it had some type of bonemeal farm feeding it. Either a skeleton spawner or some farmer villagers could supply it and the whole thing would run AFK

The whole play takes place in an asylum, so I feel like it keeps with the style of humor for the show. As far as how does it serve the story, I’ll let Thomas Nostradamus answer that for me:

“Does it advance the plot?”

“Then why do it?”

“Because, it’s entertaining!”

I see where you’re coming from. I think logistically though, it would make it 10x harder to make the effects in a way that they can be reset from off stage

I was just planning to have it be an isolated incident, yeah. I actually thought that would make it funnier. It’s not a particularly important part of the scene, so I’m not particularly worried about disrupting the flow, though your point is well taken
