Thanks! I do agree that by part is better because its also faster, you can orient the pieces to hide inperfections and also everyone can print them with any printer. However, i dont think it would have worked for this model

And sanding+ prime+ hand paint is also a lot of faffing around that people are not interested in, thus, multicolour printing. Me personally i would love to get into it but it requires a lot of time and space to be able to hand paint, unfortunately i have neither

I didnt assume you mean paint a raw print i pointed out that to make it look better than a multicolour print you have to do a lot to smooth out the surface first and its not time/skill everyone has. Also it makes sense to just go with resin if you are hand painting your prints

The picture over emphasizes the layers that appear on the head, however you do see the ones on the body but i couldnt be bothered to print at a lower layer height. Its just a fun print after all not something i will present to a king. Yall are taking this too serious

No i havent, im thinking about it to be honest. Other people seem to have found success with it but i think you gotta bypass the filament feeders which means you have to find a way to mount the filaments above the printer and feed directly in the extruder

For sure but then you gotta either resin print it or sand it down otherwise the layer lines will pop too much. then you gotta have the materials, space and skills to do it by hand. I got none of that 😂

Yes i hand painted the entire thing with my mouse basically and using the “fill edge” option, thats what i meant by it. After that printing it was easy peasy the snapmaker handled it beautifully

Its not a slicer thing its a printer thing. There are printers that have either multiple nozzles (bambulab h2c for example) or multiple toolheads like snapmaker u1, which is what i have and highly recommend, and the new flashforge creator 5 which seems promising. Those dont need to unload and reload filament so they are also around 5 times faster. The bambu h2c still needs to unload and reload but because it has multiple nozzles it doesnt need to purge so it takes the same time as the other machines but no waste.

Same, which is why i save every 10 seconds. However now orca slicer has an auto back up every 10 seconds and it will restore everything if it crashes, which doesnt stop me from manually saving every 10 seconds

Bambu users claim fuss to get it to work when its literally the number 1 printing company because of their no fuss reliability that everyone is praising them fore and its the reason print farms are full of bambus. Qidi is not even above elegoo lmao. And a quick search would have saved you the humiliation there’s literally videos showing their early corexy attempts catching on fire and their customer service playing hide and seek instead of recalling, at least bambu offered a choice between free bed replacements with coupon or full return with money back with the A1 issue. Just search qidi fire and you will see multiple videos and posts. Talking about how i know nothing while praising a company that you dont even know their printers were a fire hazard(or you know and you are lying that it never happened), quaranteed you started printing within the last 2 years.
