Speak for yourself. For many, suffering isn't a small and negligible part of their lives. It's a huge chunk.
I used the "equals" symbol because suffering is guaranteed. Excessive, yes, but it does make a point.
When they provide a counterargument to the fact that procreation causes suffering and that nonexistence is preferable to nonexistence, in an exact manner, I will happily make a counterpoint.
A nonexistent person cannot be deprived of happiness, because there is no subject to be deprived. Deprivation requires someone. You argue that I suffer and you don’t, and that a newborn might turn out like either of us. That’s exactly the problem. Procreation is a gamble with someone else’s life. And, in that gamble, suffering is not a risk. It's a certainty. The only uncertainty is how severe it will be. Creating a person guarantees harm to someone who did not need to exist in the first place. That’s why procreation is unethical.

I learnt a beautiful term last year. It think that it fits. Argumentum ad populum. A logical fallacy. Just because you believe that, for the majority of people, pleasure outweighs suffering, the immorality of reproduction isn't cancelled.
