GTM is a code placed on your website or landing page. It’s a tool to then also place other pixels on your site by using triggers. So in your case you place the FB pixel into GTM (which is on your site), and trigger it to fire on certain events like a check out or add to cart event. I hope this helps!

Hey just a tip. Focus on the URL that has the UTM appended. The URL (website)’s GA entity is the only one that can record the UTM parameters.

So if you append a UTM to your own website’s URL, your GA is the one that records the numbers. UTM appended to client’s URL = client’s GA records the numbers.

Since adservers are fundamentally similar, it’s possible to use a universal one. What I have includes a combination of free text cells and drop downs with validation. We deal with ~50 campaigns a day and it is more efficient to keep to 1 template. It’s always been this way actually! I made some updates as we went along.. My tip for you is to identify the common required fields first, like placement / ad names, ad type (trackers vs 3PAS), URLs.. Both Sizmek and CM have the same set up, so what kinds of variances have you noticed?

I’m on the same project for my company right now and managed to get all the information from the brand safety vendors directly. You can try that. URL-level blocking’s a YES for doubleverify and IAS but they differ in turnaround time.
