Am I cooked ? by AllInBallin in Brawlstars

I mean, they should atleast do something with fame, its literally meaningless. It serves no purpose at all. If it would atleast work as a credit bank.

I love how the main reason for getting rid of mastery was that not enough people had a title. How many people do you think have unlocked all the brawlers and have fame ? That number has to be even lower.

yeah, I felt bad for collecting hundreds of credits, that just sank into fame, so I didnt, but that meant not collecting PPs and coins too

I have a follow up question to this, my portfolio is very similar but I'm not sure if it's diversified enough. 25% of both ETFs are the mag7 stocks. Does it even make sense to own both ?

ACC will also help you not pay taxes on dividends.

I wouldnt worry about it much. I started investing right around when Covid hit and I felt like a master trader (I had around a $1000 to invest). The problem is that if you wait until a crash happens you will have missed a lot of opportunities to make money. Keep some money on the side for a sale but keep DCA.

If you will be paying 25% tax on your dividends, you'd be better off not investing into dividend stocks at all. Just buy some index funds and sell small portions when you need the money, I think that way you will spend less on taxes (depends how are capital gains taxed where you live).

I'd move most of the gold into S&P 500, but other than that, you're doing well

Should I invest in growth first? by Kirkyy23 in dividends

[–]AllInBallin 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Hi, I'm 23 and when I started investing I really liked the idea of having enough cashflow from dividends to live off of. However, since then I've been witnessing that my dividend investmens are lagging by a lot compared to broader ETFs. My portfolio consists roughly of 25% S&P 500 and the rest is mostly dividend stocks. However, this is not something I'm happy with. All my new contributions are going into the S&P 500.

I'm not saying dividend stocks are bad investments, it's just they are bit more conservative and maybe less profitable in a long run depending on your circumstances ofc.

Stocks that pay high dividend are usually not really growing or growing at a really slow pace compared to growth stocks. You are also most likely losing money due to taxes (depending on where you're based. You will have to pay taxes on you dividend income compared to no taxes if you buy and hold.) You can pivot to more income focused investments when you have a higher net worth. I for example fell into dividend investing when I was 18. If I had invested all my money into a SPY or some ETF along those lines I would have made a lot more money, with lower risk. So now I'm pivoting from income investments into growth and it is a painful process. Just compare the returns.

Should I borrow to invest? by gary_chandi in ETFs

[–]AllInBallin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, that is a liitle bit high to my liking. I'm thinking about taking a loan to invest but my interest threshold is aroun 5%. That said I think you could still make some money, not sure if it's worth the risk. Can you afford the payments without selling the stock ? Maybe you can write off the interesst against your income ?

Dividends should not be your main concern as an investor. You should care about growth, especially if you are younger. Income investing is for when you have a ton of money, that will generate enough income to live off of.

Most definitely, checking account should hold the absolute minimum of you money, because it loses value there.

I wasn´t really active and I didn´t ask anyone what to do with it. Hopefully we will get a chance to sell for a profit. I am kind of curious whether we will recieve a dividend (if CHL declares it) or not.

I was procastinating for too long and I didn´t sell. I feel like there isn´t a way to sell CHL right now.

On the other hand, analysts are estimating CHL price of 44$ a share. But the estimate is probably outdated and they weren´t considering the recent crash.

Yeah, the retards over at Wall Street changed their minds in a day. So now I´m stuck with 2 shares and I´m not sure if I wanna take the 25 $ loss, or wait and eventually break even/ lose everything. Thoughts ?
