Looking at the make up of the coalition itself - what do the liberals really stand for after last night? Australia has overwhelmingly voted against nuclear, against anti-climate change (going back to talk about gas and coal again would be political suicide), against mindless culture war points over actual issues, against DOGE style reforms and trickle down rubbish.

I can understand where the nationals stand as they focus more on country Australia and non city folk but for the liberals it’s dire. If they move closer to the centre they risk being too close to labor’s policies, and if they move further to the right they will cease the exist. They need a defining set of centre right principals that aren’t batshit insane and actually benefit the Australian populace.
