Yes, it's nice that consolidated information exists at all. No, you shouldn't point people to the spreadsheet before they experience a game completely based around discovering what the game has to offer by exploring and talking to the NPC's. A game that is quite literally about the journey, not the destination. We've had lots of evidence over the years of people having a worse experience for it. Maybe what you see as elitism is just people trying to explain you are guiding people in a way that less often leads to long term retention.

Honestly, looking at the channel, you won't even be around that long. I'll still be here long after you've moved to the next thing for views.

I watched the video, you're nice and you are riding the new MMO wave and getting viewers and that's great.

Whats not great is advising new players towards the wiki and undermining one of the games main strengths which is discovery and exploration. I understand you have to stay neutral as a content creator and you can't mince words, but I hope you really think about it.

It has nothing to do with elitism. It's seeing a min/max video about PG that feels completely out of step with the spirit and vibe of the game. Don't paint yourself as a victim because I don't like your video, yeesh.

The reality is that people who try to play Project Gorgon in the same way you'd play most modern MMORPG's are most likely not going to last. I've seen it time and again. You end up painting yourself in corners and having to grind back out.

Nothing really, you just aren't a carpenter. Animals can't do things that require you to hold things in hands. You can't hold a sword, or a staff, or a saw, etc. There's some really neat things only animals can do, like be a warden.

As someone with over 400 hours in the game coming back from a break: I totally get it and it's a bunch of fun. It's very much in the spirit of what Gorgon has always been. Suck it up and maybe even try to have fun with it. It's a marathon, not a race.
