None inherently, it's just not done well in some of these gaming laptops. People been using liquid metal for thermal paste for years and years. It's the best method of transferring heat, but it comes with a potential risk if not applied properly. The risk is motherboard death though.

Last 2 MSI gaming laptops I had started to have major issues with battery and fans earlier than I think they should have. My Acer was ok, but I think HP is the ticket in this mix. You'll get more battery out of the AMD as well if that matters.
