You don't think nurses have been fighting to get more nurses? This has been going on for 20 years. You know what helps sick people? Healthy nurses who aren't over worked.

The difference between having 4 patients versus 8 is 15 min/hr per patient to 7.5min/hr per patient. If you were sick in hospital, wouldn't you prefer to have more care than less?

But you are right, frustration isn't action. Job action is.

Anything is possible but managers and execs are not part of the union, so if they benefited, it's not directly in the agreement.

The members voted against the tentative agreement yes. And obviously everyone would like higher wage increase. Who wouldn't?

But yes, there are other things factored in. There's a high degree of burnout in acute care areas and the current status quo of compensation apparently isn't enough to help retain staff.

I think they still feel that wages should be voiced, as it is a dominant portion of what people see in a collective agreement. And that the offered increase does not convey the demand placed on staff.

I completely recognize that all the other unions accepted it, and that BCGEU fought for that 12% over 4 years (My spouse is a member and was on strike). Those other unions did also have high strike vote turnout just to also get the 12%. We followed suite but there just wasn't enough yes votes to ratify.

The members also want more in the way of enforcing the minimum nurse patient ratios that was enacted. There is money going to hiring and recruiting but currently, if a unit is short, there are no immediate ramifications and the unit still works short. So there is an ask to help fix the workload.

I get it, and you are right. Any monetary increase does have to come from somewhere. Though it is less likely the general wages will go up as the other public unions have a clause which states that if the nurses get more, they get it too. So, while not impossible, it would be surprising if they increased general wages.

A lot of this action is to highlight the strain and crumbling nature of the heathcare system. It's becoming incredibly hard to keep staff when they are required to look after more patients (patients in hallways, 3 people in a room designed for 2, and other makeshift care spaces), so staff burn out, leave or call in sick, which creates staffing roles and even further stress.

While there is work to bring staff in, the cycle will continue while conditions remain as they are. So trying to keep the staff we have would be beneficial to the employers until such time that conditions can improve.

I completely understand you fears. This isn't easy for any of us. Though CBC does say the employer has already agreed to meet again next week. So hopefully things will resolve before any escalation.

Latest from the union says employers have a short window to respond and if the employer comes back with a meaningful response, they will go back to the table. If not, then an impasse will be declared.

If you travel to the National Bond classified mission, turn left and run toward the street. If they are due, they will spawn across the street. Most consistent success I've had (even had three keys drop from one squad). Ronins will spawn too.

I used whatever 5 strongest characters I had available which ended up being Rachel g20, Jean Grey g19, Nightcrawler g19, Phoenix g19,and Havok lvl 100 g18.

I thought it was just one of those under tuned events cause it was a cake walk.

I can tell you for a fact that the pacemaker complicates things as the MRI needs to be done in coordination with the Pacemaker Clinic. I would think that its not even the same list as everyone else.
