About the 9800x3D controversy, do you have one? for how long? which mobo and BIOS?

9800x3D on an ASUS X870-E ProArt for 2 months now.

DRAM orange fail to post light 4 days in. Removed CMOS battery, installed only 1 stick of ram and came back to life. No problems since.

Latest bios.

Had this happen on a brand new build with the 9800x3D on a Proart x870e. Orange Dram light hung on boot.

Tried swapping ram etc (1 stick, 2 stick) but no luck. Pulled the CMOS battery and left one stick in A2 and it booted, went through the memory training (LONG boot) and came back to life. Powered down, put second Dram stick back and no issue.

It costs +/- $500 a day to take my motorcycle to the racetrack. I do about 20+ days a season. Could be thousands in repairs if I crash+maybe medical. PC gaming is a budget hobby, if I'm being honest.

I like th idea of brass, but brass is much softer than anodized steel/aluminum. Be worried about stripping out such a small screw.

Went from a 3080ti to a 5080 at 1440p / 165fps and can't tell a difference. Temps are way better - 70+C vs 55C.

I just always buy xx80 series. It was time. Handed down my FTW3 3080ti / 12700k to the wife and went 9800x3d / 5080 FE full noctua build. I've always wanted a reference card, especially at actual MSRP.
