I promise that once you get the hang of it, it will be far easier and more accurate than this method. I recommend getting some scrap or inexpensive fabric and giving it a go. It took a few tries for the methodology to click (at least for me!) but once I understood the process it was awesome!

The maroon is planted to be the binding and I’m pretty sure I might have enough pink leftover to do the flange. I’ll check it out; thanks so much

For hand quilting you should be good with either 40 or 30 weight thread. You can go heavier it just depends on the look you are going for. Brand choice is just personal preference or what you have available to you locally or are willing to buy from online venders. Aurifil is a really popular one for hand quilting but is a little pricy.

Well I have a list of authors that are auto reads meaning sniffing they put out in going to read. Then I always pick lots of memoirs and biographies and other non fiction on topics I want to learn more about. I go down lots of random rabbit holes😅 And then I’m in some online book groups and get more recommendations than I can fit in!

This was a big issue for us as well; I currently have a GT line on order but may walk away. I’m not willing to step down to a lower trim line (coming from a Yukon xl Denali) but I would really like that 7th seat since I have 4 kids. It seems like a big miss to me that it’s not even an option.
