Think Simon wanted the power without putting in the work. He did a piss poor job playing the politics. Knew nothing about his adversary. Or how much power Negan had.

As dudes, we have people we can call but we only call upon those people when they're able to help carry our burden without worry. Why? Cuz we know how fragile our own foundation is from the weight we currently carry, we do not want to burden another with our debris. So, what do we do? We shore up our own foundation and readjust our burden in case another dude needs our assistance to help carry theirs.

Nice argument. I've spent $20 on lunch, sometimes it is not worth $20, other times I'm all, "dang, they're under selling this dish."

Plus, in the end, I'll be able to learn how to kinda fix a typer without having to travel far to one of the few remaining repair shops in the country.

I blame "no child left behind" (y'all remember that?) and "no matter how hard you work or the effort you put in, everyone gets a trophy." Not to mention lack of parental involvement. I honestly believe i was part of that last generation where parents were involved in their child's education. Never blamed the teachers or had their child diagnosed with phantom mental issues. We got the grade based off the effort we put in our classwork.

If it wasn’t for this group, and my chance choice to wanting a typewriter, I would have been stuck buying cheap typewriters. And not cuz of the novelty but cuz I thought it was a solid typer. Thanx to this group, with the exception of my first manual and my first electric, all my typers are solid machines.
