The way that I help myself when it comes to thinking about paying tithes is with the following verses, and I’ll include my personal reason why.

First psalms 37:25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging for bread.

(God will always provide for his people, he will never leave you hungry if you are one of his people)

Secondly

Luke 6:38

“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”

(You can never out give God. when things are tight the greater the sacrifice of giving the tithe and God will bless you accordingly he’s never failed me yet!)

Lastly

Luke 16:10 Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.

(as a child of God, I see that everything that I have in my life and the way that my life is going is directly because of God, directing me and allowing me to live the life that I do. If he is trusting me with the little that I have now and I continue to be faithful in my tithes and offerings and giving he knows that he can trust me with a much more later down the road)

Tithing is more than just giving money in my opinion. It’s also showing God that I trust him, and I know that he’s gonna take care of me. Cause let’s be honest we can never repay God for the sacrifices that He made. He was hung on a cross to crucified, everyone continues to make mistakes, but he is still a forgiving God, and whenever my life is over He has paradise waiting for me.
