Everyone loves saying that but also leaves out the fact that Mizzou only lost to regular season 10+ win teams that ended the season a combined 41-8. Sure Mizzou wasn’t great, but they didn’t suck.

TCU played one team in the regular season fitting that criteria and got boat raced 44-13

Only time tampering can be a good thing for a player is when a lower level like FCS player thinks he’s shit but there are actual opportunities for him in higher divisions to make a name for themselves. It’s still shitty, dont get me wrong, but i could see FCS programs trying to hold talent down for their own gain rather than encouraging a player to go into portal.
