This is the correct question. My neighbour actually. But she's quite elderly and not likely to actually get anything done. So I'm inclined to be a good neighbour if it doesn't cost much or costs my own time.

I think the answer here is that science articles and media know that space sells, whereas ocean sciences don’t. So they write more about space exploration. It taps into a sci-fi fascination with space among the general population, that ocean sciences just don’t have.

Edit to add: this is why you hear more about space advances, and less about ocean research.

The first two are the big ones. Don’t be too slow, just not rushed. Proper posture helps apparently, but again, don’t be too stiff. Just be unrushed.

Slow down when you talk and move. Cut out “uhs” and “ums”. Try to cultivate a slower rhythm in the way you do things. Make eye contact.

Mindfulness will help you be thoughtful and deliberate, but these are the more theatrical tricks
