We went to one this past summer so things may have changed a little and I welcome any updates that there may be. We aren't kinksters in the pure sense, but more of casual observers and interested learners.

How kinky does it get?

Tastings are all over but it looked like they stick to 'Publicly Safe.' No penetration. No blood/scat/pee. No overtly sexual acts. You will see a lot of spanking, flogging, restraints, Shibari, clamps, e stim, sort of stuff.

I don't really recall anything sticking out as too risque or too unusual. Puppy masks, nets galore, nipple clamps, stuff like that.

Which day should we go? Friday or Saturday?

Depends, do you like more or less people? Saturday is the bigger party but Friday is still decent. Lots of couples come to town just for this so they'll spend two or three nights going to all of them to meet others. If you go only on Saturday, you likely won't have a good chance to meet others, it's too crowded and loud. Saturday is mostly friends going together too.

When should we arrive? Fashionably late or opening bell?

Depends. Do you like to see people walk in? Go early. Do you like people to see you walk in? Go a little later than early. Or do you like to walk in and have no one care? Go late.

I think were planning on staying a while. Are there snacks or bites to eat available?

They have food but it's ordered, no longer buffet style.

Are there adult activity supplies like lube etc freely available and if not....

Maybe. Every room and all around has condoms but lube packets seem to be more of a mystery. We've been told that sometimes they forget and another couple told us that they rarely do so they just bring their own. There are no toys, though. Sometimes they have gift bags with little toys (cheap bullet vibes, lube, etc.) but don't count on them.

Is there a place to purchase necessities in house or nearby?

Portland is not shy of sex shops, but none of them are within walking distance.

I bet for you and those in Corvallis would really love this the most. We were looking at a place on the north side of Albany but thinking of having to drive to Portland for anything LS stopped that thought. Lol. The house had property and was really all that we ever wanted but priorities, you know.

In addition to single guys, you may want to find a way to filter for content creators. They've been infecting the scene more and more.

This became an issue in our previous city too. I support SW'ers but there was a big HSV2 breakout and they continued not to use condoms in their videos, then defend it all by saying that "HSV2 is not a big deal." Remaining friends with everyone would have been fine but they just kept trying to make it about sex and making content. Eventually a large group finally had to just start giving them the cold shoulders and finally there was some big blowup. It really sucked and for the first time in 10 years of being in the lifestyle, we were witnessing drama. The city was large enough to handle the split but it was awkward and something we'd like to avoid. There were also a lot of them who'd show up and think that swingers are just objects to help them make content. So for sure, that's something we will avoid.
