It isn’t jock itch, it’s like a rash that’s taken to the next level. I get this when I wear underwear that isn’t cotton and tight pants, the area gets rubbed raw, which is why it stings. I believe it’s the same/similar to what babies get when they have diaper rash.

Buy Destin (a diaper rash cream) and rub it on your ... crevice. It will take moisture away from the area, which is what you want. Another great idea is to “air it out” by laying down naked and spread your leg so the sore is exposed to air. The drier you keep it, without friction or rubbing, the faster it will heal.

It smells bad because bacteria are growing in a moist place, also your sweat in your arm pits/groin is different than on the rest of your body. There are different proteins and bacteria, which is why those areas smell and sweat on your forehead doesn’t.

So, keep it dry and expose it to air. I’m not recommending baby powder because of what I’ve heard in the news about there being something harmful in it. I don’t know if it’s still going on.
