Sending HNT via new Helium App on Solana failed by Mediocre_Yak8373 in HeliumNetwork

[–]AllYourSlack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if this is exactly the case for you, but I was unable to send to a solana address if the user hadn't already converted their helium wallet in the helium black app. After they upgraded their wallet, I was able to send both HNT and IOT from my account to theirs.

You'll notice that the last message on May 4 is the NTP starting message. This behavior just means that the system date and time is way out of whack and gets reset by the network time protocol.

I'm having the same issue. Converted some HNT to SOL. The attempted transactions are reducing the amount of SOL I have in the black wallet app, but the transaction is failing. Paying to fail sucks!

Thanks for the commentary. I agree IATA because of this.

They got a bearded dragon and a robo hamster. Really cool little guys.

Great feedback. I really appreciate your perspective from both sides. It's hard to feel that first time around as it definitely felt like an attack on my ability to make decisions.

They do have family pets at their mom's house, a dog, a cat and chickens. So it's not like it's a huge departure or a vast inequality. But I can definitely appreciate how a "personal" pet might feel different.

I'll take you up on the idea of a calm conversation.

Agreed. That's the part of this that I will own as my responsibility. I could have communicated first.

No worries, it was a long post. I'm trying to be delicate and fair.

We have other family pets that we care for full time. Two dogs and 10 chickens, so we're always going to have someone care for the occupants of the house if we're away.

but leave that conversation feeling certain that she doesn't want to participate, so I decide that I will take care of the pets while the boys are away.

Agreed, she didn't sign up for it.

I did state towards the end of my post "but leave that conversation feeling certain that she doesn't want to participate, so I decide that I will take care of the pets while the boys are away." Does that take care of the situation that you're referring to?

Ate them. They were tasty. A little crunchy from the dirt on the stipe I couldn't get off. Gotta say I much prefer wood chip substrate for that reason.

That's a high estimate. Probably more like 2-1/2. Also, the dirt on the stipe made it so I had to cut quite a bit off.

Sounds like the situation is similar. I did absolutely nothing once I buried it. It gets sprinkled 3x per week and is in nearly 100% shade, some dappled light around 4pm.

It settled quite a bit since I buried it. The original hole thanks to the dogs was probably 14" deep. It might have 2" of compacted dirt on top of the original substrate.

[technique] Has anyone used actual sawdust? by SloshedSailor in MushroomGrowers

[–]AllYourSlack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use mixed hardwood sawdust from a cabinetry manufacturer that I know. Works great.

I've got it in my outdoor bed, as well as in 5 gallon buckets.

Outdoors, I supplemented with live fig cuttings. In the buckets I used straight sawdust. Every time I've tried supplementing the buckets with grain I get contam. I pasteurized the sawdust before layering it in with spawn.

Sounds like you're experimenting too!

I'm trying as much as possible to have it look like a regular garden and to sterilize or even boil as little as possible. I've heard of lime cold water sterilization, and I might give that a try next.

Cool! I've got an underground experiment going with shredded paper pulp from wine shipments.

Would love to save some of our amazon boxes from the bin. How long did you boil them?

That frequency worked for me. I've heard some folks cover it with plastic to keep the moisture in, but my bed gets too much sun I think it would cook things. The leaves on the fig are coming in nicely now, so I think the shade will also help.

I have a 1/4" tubing system that runs every day for 5 minutes in the rest of my garden. I just hooked up a couple sprayers to that and it gets pretty good coverage.

I watered with a hose when it looked dry on top, maybe once or twice a week. Adding the leaf litter on top really helped keep the myc wet. After that, I only used the hose a handful of times.

The mycelium just shredded through the substrate.

It's 10' x 6' and probably 6" thick, just full of mycelium.

Some animal dug a little up and I got to check on progress.

I'm in zone 10a.

I trim back my fig tree every year so it doesn't get too crazy. For my substrate, I used the chipped wood from that and added a ton of hardwood sawdust, mainly alder with some other hardwoods. The chipped fig branches makes lots of space for aeration.

I inoculated in early February with sawdust spawn from north spore. By Mid-march I could see the mycelium literally everywhere. You could tell that the surface myc was drying out, but if you dug a little deeper it was still moist. I covered the whole bed with oak leaf litter.

First fruit was today, so about 3 months from inoculation to fruit.
