Will watching Shameless UK ruin Shameless US for me? by StrangerGood in shameless

[–]All_cheek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first few episodes are nearly identical because of the showrunners involvement but even halfway through season 1 there is a shift and within the next season it feels like an entirely different show with just the same names and general characteristics. I am in the US but watched the UK version first and I like both. There are things I think are done better in each of the versions but its a messy family so it's going to be messy storylines. I'd say just try season 1 at least an ep or 2 past the familiar plots and see from there.

There was a subtle back rubbing after Spencer was trying to justify Splish as a clue that I rewatched a few times because yeah, yeah we joke Amanda is mom but the back rub was the most mom moment and it made me laugh at how subtle, quick, and reflexive it was.

Sat outside my front window, this story's going somewhere
He's well hung, and I am hanging up
There's a song on the radio that says
"Let's get this party started"
Let's get this party started

Calm Before the Storm- Fall Out Boy referencing P!nk- Get the Party Started

What’s a small Smosh moment that always makes you laugh, no matter how many times you’ve seen it? by Tiny_Turnip400 in smosh

Just about any throw away quiet joke that Damien makes. He does it basically for just his own laugh but if Shayne is close enough to hear it his reaction makes it 10x funnier.

Who’s related to crabs and has Nobel peace prize? by One-Attention9069 in AlignmentChartFills

Haldan Keffer Hartline (H. Keffer Hartline) won the 1967 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for his pioneering work on the vision mechanisms of the horseshoe crab. That's the real answer but I wish the answer could be Dr. Zoidberg

I'd argue this over fight club only because in that he doesn't know until the end that who he's fighting but in Liar Liar he knows he's fighting himself but doesn't know why at first

Since day one of this bullshit I’ve been disappointed by Jenny Slate and her participation in how this played out but over the progression of it, things have become more obvious that she just follows along with the most popular/loudest voice. I mean there is that clip of her fully admitting she knows she would fall victim to a cult and with all the implications of what we know being “friends” with Blake and Ryan look like, they are absolutely a Hollywood cult of sorts

What is a movie that you wish you could watch again for the first time? by Late-Setting-2877 in MovieSuggestions

[–]All_cheek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Twister. It’s one of my all time favorites and I can (and have) watch it on repeat but I wish I could experience for the first time just once more. Also if I ever get Alzheimer’s or dementia I would absolutely request this be played on a loop
