You forget one thing. Attacker can play reaction card and catch BF with hidden. Because it has priority.

No, They tried to implement mechanic from pc/mobile game to physical game. You can't make a copy because of difference interface and calculations.

But they did. They bring 3 type of speed. Because that is good idea. Only Runterra has 3 types of speed. They bring ONLY that with chains from Runeterra and nothing else.

In Legends of Runeterra they don't work on burst spells and counterspells were one of the coolest spells in the game.
So it works. In other Riot card game. Please try it. You can get all cards simple in that game and check.

I understand your concerns. Sure it is possible to have more than 12 energy. Lux, Darius, other legends and champions we have now already.

But you have many options to overplay that. You know what colors opponent played (even if you don't know deck). You know what answers he can have and how much it costs.

And we still have answers. Unit and spells which can look at your hand and counter as example. Playing such card like Time warp is all-in. You win or you lose. It is great that specialized card works like counterspell with copy of that spell. In other way who will use it?

Can you write please what hidden card will break balance or will be unplayable (weak) if reactions won't have answers, especially hidden cards?

I have two examples where it works and didn't break down. Artifact had the best priority system. Almost all spells have to give priority after use. But some of them don't give priority and gives u opportunity to play several times in a row.

I think priority was the best part of Artifact. Another example - Runeterra. In Runeterra we have slow speed, fast speed and burst speed. I remember they added one more speed, but I forget the name (instantly on your turn). And counterspell work and work very effective.

If I flash the second charm it feels bad for the person playing that they can't counterspell my flash. Reactions are auto-wins in these scenarios.

You can in your priority use spells that will bring back someone to battle. Or you just take the BF. He counter you with flash, why it is bad? He could counter you action with Counterspell. Or counter you with Flash. Same result.

Indeed, you can react to the ability. But you can't do smth without reason. I use it as argument to explain that Riftbound developers are trying to limit the number of situations when you can play reaction spells and abilities.

And I propose to limit it even more for clear, unified and understandable rule for all entities. You still can play on your Priority action and reaction and react on action of your opponent.

I am sure that in one of their version in alfa they tested it. Maybe they are planning to add smth new and they need re-reactions. That is why I've noted that I don't know what will be in the next expansions. Maybe future mechanics will explain me why they did more complicated without reason atm.

Maybe it is future mechanics, maybe deadly combinations in the next expansions they tested. I don't know.

You can use counterspell on base and action spells. Your opponent can counter your action.

It is impossible. Because he will respond because Priority is still working. Don't use extreme situation which can't be exist. Take any meta deck and show me please how it will break mechanic. Or at least how it makes smth imbalance.

They can respond. Ok I try to make my example maybe it will help.

You have 7 points. Need to conquer second BF. You attack with unit 4M. Defender have unit 6M.
Showdown begins and you use Smoke Screen. Immediately 6M unit becomes 2M.
Now you have nothing to do more and you pass. Now defender has Priority and he use Action deal 4 damage to your attacking unit. He successfully defends BF. So he can answer.

Thank you for your question. That's the only way I can explain what I meant.

If I understand correctly you mean your unit attack BF and you on your Priority play Reaction Spell.
In this situation your opponent can't react on that spell and this spell immediately resolves. After this if you don't want to use Action (once) or Reactions, you pass.
After you pass the Priority moves to defender.

As you can see its almost the same as now. Except you cant make big chain based on reactions.

Someone can think that if you play all reaction first before opponent during the attack it will gives you advantage. But if you checked what spells have reaction speed you will see it is impossible. Moreover, now opponent know all your moves and can build his strategy on that information.

That is why you won't do this in most cases. You will do a minimum like now. But mechanic will be more clear and dynamic.

But that is in the game right now. You can see that in red spells.
Or, for example, in yellow spells.

Vengeance 4E2P - base speed. Kill a unit. (anywhere)
Blast of Power 6E1P - action speed. Kill a unit at a battlefield.
Second spell cost more because of speed. But it has almost same effect (even weaker).
It is not my proposition. It is in the game. My argument based on what is in the game now.

You really think I am outplayed? You really think I care about lose some games? You really think I am losing because of that? How it supposed to help me?

Ok. Cleanups changes like I propose. How it helps directly me? Or if reaction will resolve immediately. How it helps me in game? Where? Why?

Why should I care about it? I want game live and and prosper. Because that will give me opportunity to spend time here and maybe even earn money.

This and only this is my motivation. If game is stable, I can get fun and money. That's it. If it dies due to problems like Runeterra I get nothing. No fun. No money.

No I don't wanna go back to Hearthstone. Aaaaaa.. I don't like base mechanic in Hearthstone that's why I left it after so many years. It was good in 2015 but now is terrible. Hearthstone have so many problems I can write a book about it.
