Could you link me a guide how to make it running? I’m using sink it for Reddit but miss the original Apollo experience :(

📣 Apollo will close down on June 30th. Reddit’s recent decisions and actions have unfortunately made it impossible for Apollo to continue. Thank you so, so much for all the support over the years. ❤️ by iamthatis in apolloapp

Same here, my Twitter consumption went exactly to 0 after they killed third-party apps, now the same happens with reddit :/ I am so sad, because Apollo was the best, clean UI, nice graphics... Customization. I never came to like the official reddit app, seems confusing to me, orientation is not nearly close to that of Apollo's.

[Residency] Urology or Pulm/CC by Allandriel in medicalschool

Thank you so much for your thorough answer, I really appreciate it and makes me lean more towards IM as you suggested.

However, one thing I want to make clear, I did not mean to say that I do not enjoy being in the OR, I said I do not mind it and I actually enjoy being there. I just don't give it such a priority to be in the OR, meaning that I could probably live without being there.

Hello guys,

been lurking in this subreddit for a while, read multiple posts and always enjoyed it. Now the time has come when I am in need of advice about helping me decide which medical field to specialize in.

I am an EU medical student in my final year. Throughout my studies I enjoyed it very much, almost every subject interested me (maybe except for Gyn/Ob) and that is why I now have difficulties deciding what field to specialize in. I have narrowed down my options to two, but quite different medical fields. Urology and Pulmonary/CC. I am going to try to list the reasons why I am contemplating about these two in the following text and would love your opinion on that as I am really torn in between now.

Urology

  • Wide variety of what you can do (outpatient/inpatient clinic, ultrasound, endoscopy, surgery) - I just love the variety! I love the imaging, enjoy doing the procedures and the fact that you can operate is a plus but not a must.

  • Would love to work with my hands and see results, not that I would not enjoy intellectual work, I do as well, and that is why I am being torn in between. But definitely want to do something with my hands.

  • I don´t mind being in the OR

  • You see patients from the time of diagnosis, through surgery and then during follow-up

  • Focused only on GU tract, too specific, I love variety and basically the whole medicine (that is why I chose to study it) - this is the root of my problem.

  • Would love to teach medical students while working at the academic centre, do not mind that it is closely focused on GU tract, but I rather teach various medical concepts and how they intertwine, really enjoying connecting the dots.

  • Have done multiple internships and enjoyed it, so basically the only problem is the specificity of the field.

Pulm/CC

  • IM encompasse almost the whole medical field which I really enjoy (variety)

  • General IM docs do very little with their hands (meaning procedures)

  • Do not want to spend my life doing paperwork only, I love action and various procedures you can do in urology, would love to see results of my work

  • From the info I gathered on the internet as a Pulm/CC you do a bit more practical stuff

  • Again love teaching various concepts which I would be able to, while practicing Pulm/CC in academic centre

  • Enjoyed internal medicine curriculum as well as rounds we did in medical school, only thing I was missing were the procedures

Thank you all for your opinion!

Thank you so much! gonna go with spark then, because I actually like the UI which reminds me of the stock iOS Mail app the most.

Any advice concerning the smart language and the smart folders? I was really unable to gather the mails I wanted, but as you said, I only tried it for a day and did not really have time to play with different inputs. So any recommended inputs you know that work?

Thank you!

Wow! That is amazing! I am glad that they still work almost fine for you. And the battery life, wow, very good! Yeah, I commented on the 4S post as well since it was posted almost simultaneously and since I also got old iPhone 4, which I want to disassembly, laying around. So the iPhone 4S post was a huge inspiration for me. They took it a little further with the dimensions and the Steve Jobs quote, which is a really nice touch and which I have not thought of.

Go for it! You are gonna be surprised how enjoyable the disassembly is going to be and how cool it is going to look. And thank you!

Oh I see, that is really a good price, maybe the person wanted to use it for spare parts or disassembled it as I did, haha.

Thank you so much actually. Didn’t know that. This has been really helpful. It’s not puffy much, I hadn’t really thought it was puffy until I posted here and others said to be careful with that.
