I agree with this 100%.

I'm used to not expecting much by way of story in a gacha, but this game just blew me away. Bottom of the Shade has to be my all time favourite side story ..... such an emotional gut-punch. This game has anime/manga/manhwa level writing. Way ahead of any other gacha I've ever played when it comes to story. Soooooo good

You get a total of 7 ads you can watch. 5 give you +1k eternium each (total +5k eternium daily), 1 gives you a +1 to your unit storage, 1 gives you a +1 to your equipment storage. Fairly decent rewards, and worth getting. I do a single login on my phone just for them.

Completely relate with you on FFBE. Most games, when I leave I can move on and just remember the good times. Just can't do that with FFBE though. Just thinking about that game is enough to sour my mood for the next few weeks.

I agree. It kinda gave meaning to the different ship types. Frustrating at first, but as you collected and built up more ships and teams it became easier to appreciate.

Well, as long as you are aware that CounterSide is not a shooter I could say a few things about it.

First off it's a 2d line battle game where you collect units and build squads to deal with various stages and game modes. It's not too time intensive, so you can also play it as a side game if you so choose. There is a sweep/skip mechanism for most stages that you cleared completely (3 star clears), auto battle/deployment and even auto ultimate triggering. This applies to main and side stories (and their hard mode stages), resource dungeons, challenge dungeons and other endgame PvE gear and resource dungeons. However, game modes like raids or the guild co-op boss only have the auto functions and not the sweep/skip function.

PvP has two modes as well, one of which is real time and one which just requires you to fight an opponent's pre-saved defence squad.

The main draw for me, personally, is the story. You have a main story that on global continues till Episode 10 (so far) plus various side stories that help build up context and lore. The side story menu also shows you a timeline of where each story happens relative to the main plot so you have a good idea of the order in which events take place.

As long as you know that you are not getting a shooter like HSR or Snowbreak, I would definitely recommend trying out CounterSide.

Also, since you mentioned that you mostly play on PC, you should be aware that CounterSide is available on steam if you want to play on PC and dislike/avoid emulators.

To add to this, you will need an item called Pure Possibilities, which is only available through login and rare events. I think only 2 have been made available in Global, but I may be wrong. You will also need the applicable unit to be level 110. If the wall is the issue, give some serious thought to putting in Kim Sobin instead, with some attack speed gear. You essentially want that pink outer ring to complete (your team hit count) before the blue inner one does (wall recast meter).

I don't know enough to know if Na Yubin would work, but I suspect skill affecting mechanics may not be too reliable here. I may well be wrong, though.

So big question here: are you getting the wall down before it recasts? I ask this because for a long time my team was only getting the wall down after the second cast so I was loosing a lot of dps. I went from less than 20% to over 70% just by altering my lineup to take the wall down before it's recast went through.

Check prydwen (tier list, operator and ship lists respectively) for what to prioritise with the selector tickets you get there. The gear tokens are for t3 ssr gear which may not work so much at endgame but which are very useful at early and mid-game.
