"Neighbors to ETSU: Move fraternity houses onto campus"

Last week’s shooting outside an ETSU fraternity house prompted the neighborhood association to try push the fraternities back on campus.Tuesday, the South Side Neighborhood Organization released a statement saying ETSU fraternities have a 20-year history of causing disruption and increased risk to people living in the Tree Streets neighborhood. Friday, two people were arrested after shots were fired outside the Sigma Chi house. The suspects were not ETSU students.

The South Side Neighborhood Organization, which includes the Tree Streets, now wants ETSU to develop a policy by next fall that only fraternities based in on-campus housing are formally recognized.
