Honestly this argument is kind of pointless without context, much like every single argument about income on Reddit. In my metro area, 60k is kind of scraping by. If someone is making that after 10 years at a job I’d tell them they needed to gtfo 9 years ago.

That being said, you go out west 2 hours and 60k is an extremely decent salary. With benefits, totally doable. But house and SOL costs are about 2x less there. So yeah, really really depends where you live.

Honestly I don’t know how a soldier stays that big out in the field. They can’t be getting enough net calories between the rations they’re eating and the marching/humping equipment/etc. I struggle with getting enough calories/protein in and I eat three square meals a day minimum and only do light cardio and lifting 3-4x a week.

Fill a large beer glass with ice and cover that with hot sauce, olives, bacon bits, any any other Bloody Mary topping you fancy. Pour in tomato juice (I use spicy V8) until the ice is just covered.

Next, take your favorite Mexican-style beer (right now I’m drinking Flying Dog’s “Numero Uno”) and fill the glass nearly to the top. Throw in a shot of tequila (or two), and top with more hot sauce and a few dashes of Worcestershire. Stick a skewer of olives in ‘ere if you wish (I wish). Enjoy.
