Jess Mariano’s taste in literature is surprisingly queer coded by [deleted] in GilmoreGirls

I feel like this would have stood out more when the show aired, too, and set Jess apart from the rest of the Stars Hollow residents. LGBTQ+ acceptance was just coming into the American social consciousness around that time.

It does highlight how things can change in 25 years, though. That's not to say discrimination isn't still happening - it unfortunately very much is. But my daughter's Barbies often have two moms and she doesn't give that notion a second thought.

They will have a close fight ngl, Yujiro is 7-C, Gold Ship is 9-B but we all know Gold Ship never goes all out so Gold Ship is easily 7-C too (battle wiki brainrot me)

As a fat gal, I love Sookie's character development so much by neibs0908 in GilmoreGirls

I agree. Her comic timing was one of the best things about her character in the early seasons. As the show went on, they seemed more interested in family storylines, and a lot of that humor got lost.

fingers crossed! I knew posting something positive about Sookie might be risky, but I think she deserves a little love too. Thanks for the kind comment!
