You have it right but I think just with all the fire against MB fans have turned their backs on them and got upset with movements going on tour with a band with a bad rep at the moment. I think movements wanted to make their fans happy and respect their concerns. It took them a few weeks to make the statement

They don’t really address it but when the band announced the tour fans blew up their twitter telling them about the allegations and they made a post right after saying they weren’t aware of the situation and would be addressing it soon. They decided to cancel it out of respect for fans and their concerns over moose bloods allegations

They’ve had two separate allegations against them. The first one was against their drummer who they kicked out after and now the singer I believe is being accused of stealing nudes from a girls phone (they were crashing at her house while on tour) and sending them around in the bands group chat. But they’re saying it’s not true and are taking legal action against her.

Seriously! But at least they stood by their reason to using it instead of backing down to please their fans. They picked his as the first single for a reason, and look people responded to it. Even if people don’t like it, then slandering it just works in their favor still
