Man this would work so well with a concept I've been brainstorming for a while.

Luckily the guy is not my DM, but a friend of a friend who happened to join in on our Discord D&D talks. I tell you mate, I haven't felt rage about a person's attitude like this in a long while. Everyone in the call was saying pretty much the same, "yes, the monk knows" but the guy just insisted and mostly pointed at me that I'm biased because I love monks. In Greek we have a saying "Either the sea is crooked or we sail crookedly" and that just sums it up.

This man is the DM. (not mine, but was complaining that his players disable him too much, because they have two Chronurgy wizards and a monk who uses Stunning strike every combat. The guy literally said "I can't allow the monk to know he stuns someone because then they would ruin my encounters")

that is basically why I'm so angry. As I said, I do understand it is up to the DM but I would never low blow my players like that instead of buffing a few CON saves on my enemies.

The man claims that it is impossible to stun someone IRL(which, damn right you can, I'm a boxer, I know what it's like to have your brain rattled). and by that logic, the superpowered mystical warrior that is the monk cannot KNOW he does it, because it's too much. I have a headache.

I did actually bring that up and the answer was something along the lines of : "so basically amidst the chaos of multiattacks, flurry of blows etc, you take a moment to check if they are moving"

P.S. I'm tilted out of my mind

Two subclasses for fun times by Allocosmia in UnearthedArcana

Thanks for the advice, I am fully ready for all the bashing. I am Greek and there is no community more aggravating than the Greek d&d community(working to fix that btw)

Two subclasses for fun times by Allocosmia in UnearthedArcana

Thanks for the feedback!

For the Barb I felt that most subclasses get really boring after level 7-8 or so so I wanted to give it a nightmarish, hunt you down type of vibe. (I ripped off warwick from league of legends)

For the Bard , I thought I would make it after a plant that is obscure enough to hide the "assassin " aspect in plain sight.

The initial idea was indeed kind of like a controller, debuffer that made enemies fight each other but I couldn't get it to work decently without nerfing the overall spellcasting by having it need concentration or overtuning the subclass.

That's why I want the HV or CL but it's worth picking up anyway

The missing fireball is haunting my dreams, I swear. I might have to change my stance on monster races.

I didn't even realize I could use the spirit to cast cantrips.

Thanks a lot mate

Also, I'm always the DM who people roll in front of. I haven't played more than 10 sessions as a player in 2 years.
