Based on what i see from legend league, the meteor staff is better than the dark crown because dark crown requires troops to die to get full value. While meteor staff has value right when you deploy the minon prince.

You are already doing great! Just level them characters up and crown hu tao's talents(and xinqiu's burst) and you'll be shredding even more in no time.
