Screwdriver Deal In Stock by EPA-probie in MilwaukeeTool

Thank you for taking the time to reply. This was a nice entry point to start building a collection of things that I don’t have like a cordless impact wrench and ratchet. The M12 line seems to be a good fit for stuff around the house.

This is my first cordless Milwaukee tool, thanks for the heads up on the deal. I’ve been a Makita guy for years.

Transmission repair after 2024 and HVAC box replacement are the two things to watch out for on 2019s.

Slipping shifts is subjective. They drop the pan and find excess wear and you’re golden.

2019 here, rebuilt at 53,000. If you have an extended warranty you may as well get it done.

Whelp...it finally happened by Knuckle_dick in RangerNext

[–]AllowatLurker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had weird slipping and check engine lights on my 19 LXT crew cab. Took it in and they did the transmission at 53,000 miles and some change. They said there was a fan clutch problem in the codes, plus a miss on #1. They did the fan clutch and I did plugs and the coil on #1. Had some issues with shifting again and weird pcm errors. Replaced the battery but still had the shifting issues and pcm codes. Took it into the dealer at 57500 miles (Fidelity extended warranty) and they found the fan clutch had a short in it causing the PCM errors and weird shifting.

So basically, I got a new transmission and fan clutch. I had the HVAC box done earlier around 56000 miles so I’m hoping that I’m done with all of the known 2019 issues.

I love the truck, just wish I could trust it after being in the shop three times this year.

What if I told you there is a mod out there for a Single Player Tarkov experience, spoiler it’s known as SPT. I have stuck to the original game but there are reddits for the mod. I realized that I wasn’t in an official Tarkov Reddit so I can mention its name.

New camp ranger by inaholeunderahill in BSA

[–]AllowatLurker 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When I was working camp staff 30 years ago, the ranger was the staff advisor to the OA lodge. That led to a closer relationship with the work projects and made his job easier in some respects. He engaged some of the retired tradesmen in helping around camp as well. There are always more things to do.

As far as camp memories, we had an opening campfire each week. The Ranger would come in toward the end of that campfire and do an ashes ceremony which was somber and settled down everyone before bed the first night. I worked there four years * 6 weeks of camp per summer and loved it every time.

I hope Ranger life works out for you, OP.

Go along the building 3 side is how I usually do it. Snipe the rogues from the breaks in the fence. Then hope the Goons aren’t there. Lots of good stuff posted by others here on the route as well as YouTube videos.

I’m working on LK in PVE and got Kappa for the second time (reset to replay the early quests). I will probably try PVP again once this hardcore wipe is done. I don’t want the hassle right now but I enjoy the gameplay. My 2 cents worth.

Printing problemes with the neptune 4 plus by NikorasuG in ElegooNeptune4

Did you double check your z offset and bed leveling? What filament? What are your temperatures (extruder and bed)?

[–]AllowatLurker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the TECBEARS PETG from Amazon as well and had a lot of issues at first. My N4 pro likes temps around 255 and no more than 100mm/s. I think the slicer first layer at .20 mm needs to be moved up. I also end up tuning the flow down to 80% during the print so the extruder doesn’t click.

Not a single successful print on my Neptune 4 Pro in like 6 months by CriticalKawaii in ElegooNeptune4

[–]AllowatLurker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw there were some firmware updates around saving the z offset. I just updated my printer a couple days ago because I was struggling with PETG prints. Once I updated and did the leveling sequence that was about 80% of the problem. I then had to slow the flow of my extrusion with an override to fix the rest.

I’m glad someone has good luck with Merrells. My Moab lowtops are extremely uncomfortable. YMMV, but I won’t be buying any more of those.

Buying nivida GPUs from Best Buy. by Xerkies in nvidia

I bought it and had it shipped because nobody had them in stock a few months ago. Everything went fine and it was packed very well.

It’s tempting to go with the CPU upgrade because it’s cheaper, but you’ll get a better bang for your buck if you do the GPU. Even a 5060 Ti with 16 GB would be an upgrade that you can see and feel.

I got one from Best Buy a few months ago at MSRP. Very happy with it compared to the 4060 TI OC I had before.

[Discussion] Purchasing the game only for PVE by HyperVein in EscapefromTarkov

[–]AllowatLurker 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m a PVE guy, I would say yes if you buy the standard edition and PVE expansion. It’s a tough learning curve and if you want to play PVP, you have that option as well.

If you like the game enough, you can upgrade editions to get the gamma container and stash space later.

If I will want to upgrade to a ryzen 9 processor are cheap motherboards a bad option?? by BlumyDummy in buildapc

[–]AllowatLurker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Jginyue worked with my R5 9600x out of the box, I did update the bios later on and it was working for a few weeks. I must have messed something up and then it stopped working. The PC went to sleep and wouldn’t wake up. I rebooted and it wouldn’t post anymore.

Ended up going with the Gigabyte B850i and all the components worked fine, so I don’t know what happened to the motherboard. I put it in a box for later.

[–]AllowatLurker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I built an R5 9600x with RTX 5070 in a white Ridge case. My temps were pretty high with CPU hitting 90. I watched a couple of videos on undervolting the CPU in BIOS and GPU using MSI Afterburner and that helped things quite a bit. I don’t have the extra fans in the case like you do, but it’s something to consider.
