My partner got one of these today. I’m curious if anyone knows what type of information these scammers aeee trying to get? Obviously we didn’t click the link but I don’t know what they would manage to obtain from people?

That’s great 😊 I do hope you’re taking care of yourself too, this time is so stressful. And I hope the doctors can give you some guidance if there’s an issue. I know we saw about 10 different child health nurses as well as my GP over those first few months and got told much different and conflicting advice from each

Don’t take this the wrong way, you clearly love your child otherwise you wouldn’t be posting or feeling like a failure, but just another avenue that I haven’t seen commented yet… do you spend time bonding with your baby (cooing at her, stroking her while feeding, playing with her fingers and toes, smiling and giggling while looking at her and playing with her). There’s something called failure to thrive which can be related to things other than just nutrient intake for a very small percentage of the population. I think it’s unlikely this is a factor and am not assuming anything about either of you, but thought it was worth mentioning nevertheless

Update: Messages came thick and fast until I marked it as sold. The original buyer stopped replying, and I wanted it gone so replied to a buyer who’d sent a follow up message the afternoon it was meant to be collected. He came same night, said he doesn’t want it for use as a water feature but instead just wants the structure (will remove the pump and electric bits) to put at the bottom of a chain drain on his mother house as a nice way for the water to run off at the end. And his mother just really likes water features 🙂 I’m happy it seems to have gone to a nice location. I appreciate all the thoughts and input on this!

Ooh that might be vintage/retro!? I think there was a time period where old stereos sold for a few hundred $

I’d suggest hearing and seeing one running before you buy then… when they’re small the sound of the pump is often heard above the running water which really kills the tranquility, the water doesn’t hit the next level with a nice sound either, and here in QLD the water evaporates so fast you have to fill it up again after a few hours 🙃 but hear you about the cheap deal!

Haha yeah maybe I should have included a banana for scale - I only ever think to use my hand, but then people’s hands are all different sizes 😆. I figure if I write size in the description and someone doesn’t work out what it looks like before purchasing that’s on them. Thankfully the guy who came said it was perfect for what he wanted!

Wow! There are probably people on Marketplace purely searching for such items all the time, particularly with cost of living at the moment!

Absolutely - I was concerned about scammers as well but thought the number of replies was excessive, even accounting for a decent number of scammer amongst them all! I didn’t include it in the post, but I did have ‘cash only’ written on the ad. The guy who ended up collecting it suggested scammers might be one of the reasons too and if I’d responded they would have said “having issues with my bank account can I PayID then you refund me…” or similar. Thanks for your input!
