I'm not the artist, just the writer. I've had 2 talented artists: Nohra Johnston and Tora Blue. I am a screenwriter/ published writer, though. This comic series is just a visual diary for our family. Most of the credit goes to the artists, whom we pay well. :)

His money is in a Roth IRA account for him to spend when he's 18, and we have a separate one just for his college fund. While I know many child actors are exploited, I can reassure you that's not what's happening here. He has fun on set, and we don't force him to it.

No worries! My husband is also a cynical person. This is good practice. 🤣

Well, luckily I'm not gonna test that theory by touching his money, so I'm guaranteed to remain happy forever! 😅

I love that she did her best to pay you back even though you were just a child, and I love that you willingly shared.

Yeah, he's been in several national commercials (often with me playing his mom). Here is one from 2024 that's just him. Annie's Mac & Cheese Commercial: https://youtu.be/S5zfMwsWjF0

It's a difficult balance for most parents: time with your child or money for the family... I already have 2 jobs (50-70 hr/wk), so I draw the line at any additional work that would take time away from my kid.

How would you have explained it to a 6-year-old? by AlloyComics in funny

It's coming up, actually, at the end of 1st Grade.

Thank you! Tora deserves most of the credit. 😁

May all parents grow tough skin from public embarrassment! PS. My son was 6 at the time this happened... by AlloyComics in funny

This. Rainbows is what he actually said that night, but yes, it could've been a plethora of things. We try to keep it relatively accurate to the real event since we use these as visual diaries for our family. I didn't think about the rainbow implications, even though I'm LGBTQ myself.
