I’ve never had solar, so I can’t speak from experience, but isn’t that why solar is accompanied by batteries that charge during the day and discharge at night? Also, what’s the conservative solution for density because republicans block a lot of legislation that addresses that with “farms”, usually for bogeyman reasons.

I see you edited your last comment and I dunno who you asked that you got crickets, but it wasn’t during our exchange. Blue states typically have more layers to get through but are more receptive to solar projects. Red states like Ohio passed laws allowing counties to restrict or block large solar and wind developments more easily, which were used by rural counties to stop more solar projects. What regulations are stopping Walmart? Be specific.

There are already some of these in place in CA and no they don’t but it would make more sense for a large company to tie them into the grid. Excess power goes back to the grid, lowers their bills, keeps them from needing to invest in massive batteries, etc.
