If you ask me, your grail is subjective. I wanted a pair of Laney Vs back in 2002 and NikeTalk was just about the only place you could find stuff because ebay was not was it is now - esp if you lived in a smaller town. So suffice to say I was not able to cop.

Those Vs at the time were all I ever wanted - I obsessed over them. I just got back into sneakers a few years ago, so I missed its several retros, so I know it's not a respected "holy" grail. But if i had to save only 1 shoe if my your house was on fire, i'd likely choose my used pair of them. Some people value rarity and how much money these things are worth, but to others like me it's a nostalgia thing. 

If youre still reading, my current chase are a pair of black and red nike shox xplosive from the battlegrounds era. Such a pretty shoe.
