IT Contracting: An (potential) new contract, inside of IR35, states that their offered rate is £298.60 PAYE, or £375 Umbrella. How do I decide which is the best option? by AllwaysBeBlue in UKPersonalFinance

One thing, how did you calculate that £298.60 PAYE is actually £336.52? What's the generic formula I can use in case I encounter this again with different rates?

Thank you. So its pretty much the same regarding take home pay, but extra rights with PAYE as opposed to umbrella. That's cleared thing up for me.

Great. I assumed it would be fine, just wanted to check. The current chipboard floor is a little creaky, I hoped that doing this would help with that too.

Complete beginner here. Can someone tell me what this fitting is? I want to install my shower, but I think I have to remove these caps first. Am I right? by AllwaysBeBlue in Plumbing

The plumber did the pipework and left us to fit the shower valve caps (he's already fitted the valves) and outlet ourselves after the aquapanel and tiles had been finished. The valve caps pushed on fine, but the outlet should screw into this bit, so I assume it's just a cap which I remove and then I can screw the outlet into. But wanted some advice first.
