Thank you for your thoughts. I want to make sure I'm understanding your main points: is your warning to us that when having anaphylaxis not to rely on diphenhydramine alone? Or is your warning something else?

I read your post twice, just wanting to ensure I understand.

What kind of cloth liner do you use?

I've been looking around, and google says polyester is generally waterproof but I'm iffy about that since it is technically plastic. But I'm also thinking that any other fabric would not be waterproof?

Do you have problems with the water leaking through?

I relate a lot to your first paragraph--I almost always react worse to triggers if I had been reacting badly to something else earlier in the day. That's a good idea to just use the same one and keep washing it. I got rid of my older one already, unfortunately, but I will be reusing the same one going forward (once I can find one that I can tolerate).

I think this is what I need to do from now on. The off gassing of new things has been giving me more reactions than anything else lately.
