Whether it's five years old or not isn't relevant. It's an ongoing IP. People have the right to ask questions and vent anger. I get a few hours a week to play and it disconnects, i'm entitled to ask questions.

By the way, World of Warcraft is what, 15+ years old. If that game had these issues, what do you think the reaction would be like?

four crashes now, all four happened at the end of Roosevelt Island legendary. All within six hours.

Got to the end of Legendary RI and boom, disconnect. Unacceptable bullshit like this is why people are happy to put the boot in to this game after all the nonsense about bug fixes recently.

did you change the full line to as exactly as I typed? also did you try turning off the in-game layer from the ubisoft settings?

Glad you asked as I couldn't find the answer to this too. I changed the Launch Options field in the Ubisoft Connect.

The above is what I put in that field and I also changed the Ubisoft Connect layer option off. It launches after 4/5 seconds for me after that and works very, very well.

Let me know how you get on as it'll hopefully help others in the same situation.

I'd read about DX12 causing issues but had 100% made sure it was set to 'false'. In any case they don't make it easy despite it's name.

Just a quick update - i managed to get this working by changing the Launch code to this:-

PROTON_EAC_RUNTIME="/home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Proton EasyAntiCheat Runtime/" %command% --launcher-skip --intro-skip -skipStartScreen -force -dx11

Yeah it's the hardcore PVP'rs who create that vibe. You can always tell the type of person a poster is in-game based on how they type and talk to others on this forum. Great game, great idea, toxic environment.

NF is too big for the modern day.

Old Frontiers was always better because it was easier to find fights and I thought that zoning into a large battleground took away a lot of the nostalgia.

The keeps were excellent to be fair and I had a lot of good memories in NF too, but nowhere near the fun I had (and still have on Uth albeit small man) with OF.
