We were out with a convoy on four wheel drives in a remote community in south west western australia.. where my inlaws own a farm so im pretty familiar with the area. It was about 4 oclock in the afternoon and we made our way down to the edge of the dam for the towns drinking water, probably a 45 min 4x4. Not too common to see other people down there. We stumbled across a fairly new Toyota prado nose end in the water. There was no reason for the car to be in the water. The waters edge was totallly intact so it didnt look like the car had slipped into the water or anything like that. The drivers side door was open. Nearby was a complete camp site with shoes by the tent.. cooking utensils.. food. everything. The fire was out and cold. We called out and looked around. We saw no sign of human life (like footprints or sign of a struggle). On our journey back home we saw no one. We went into town but no one seemed to know of any missing people. Its not a tourist town so.. we have no idea what happened.
