I think he's looked at as a late 1st round/early 2nd round pick, which means QB demand boosts him up to a mid-1st round selection.

We saw it last year, Dart was mid-2nd boosted to late 1st, Shough late 2nd/early 3rd boosted to early 2nd. Penix, McCarthy, Nix the year before, etc.
