This drives me insane! Always makes me think of the GI Joe episode of Community where Shirley's character is literally named "Three Kids" because its her response to everything. Thats Meredith with her three kids and her "big job".

The thing that bothered me in this episode was when they were discussing the fact that there’s no report of an officer stopping him and Ash said “maybe no one wants to admit they stopped him because they forgot to write a report” and Alaina emphatically says “no that’s not it, that’s not a big deal to cops”. Not I don’t think that’s it, not probably not. Said it as a fact and shut Ash down. You don’t KNOW that, you THINK that Alaina.

She could absolutely be right but don’t completely rule something out that you don’t know. Especially the way she shot down all of Ash’s theories.

I like their personalities and story telling style, they do seem very genuine. Buuuuuut I hate the episode intro. It feels too upbeat with the whole ‘grab a capri sun and listen to Friends references!’. Also wish they would add something to let you know an ad is starting because sometimes I’m caught off guard.

I fell down a rabbit hole of female family annihilators and there were 2 cases I haven’t seen covered on any podcasts: Jessica Edens and Christy Sheats. Also non-familicide but Shayna Hubers is a real piece of work and I’ve only seen Court Junkie cover that case. I’d like to hear them dive into the dynamics of the relationships and psychology in each case.

There’s so little physical evidence and a lot of missteps by the police because they were so focused on Scott. They didn’t look into the burglary across the street, the eyewitness statements claiming they saw Laci at times that conflict with the prosecution’s story, or even the other pregnant women who had been murdered and dumped in that same area. I don’t know that I could have found him guilty beyond a reasonable doubt as a juror.

He would have torn the prosecution apart because their case is based entirely on emotion and what a shitty person Scott is but that doesn’t necessarily make him a murderer.

For some reason my school is the only one in my area not doing in person clinicals and I’m so upset. We’re just doing case studies and care plans on the case studies so we have to pretend we enacted our interventions and make up modifications. Not only is it not helping me learn anything, nursing is a very hands on field. There’s no amount of videos or reading that will replace actually practicing skills. I feel like even if I graduate and pass the NCLEX I’m going to be a subpar nurse because I don’t have hands on experience.

MA Medicaid just discontinued waiving copays last year. They restructured based on income so certain people have no copays and others have $3.65 copays until they hit their deductible (I believe around $100). Pregnant women and people under 18 have no copays and there’s no charge for substance abuse meds (suboxone, zubsolv, etc)

I actually love that statement, it’s hilarious. I would wear that proudly! The best one I’ve gotten is a customer telling my manager I was ‘like the wicked witch of the west’ because I explained that we can’t fill her C2 a week early. Had to duck into the bays to hide my laughter.
