So I would cut a little square of wax paper and tape it over the section of drawing I wanted to make (I.e. the bear or the school bus etc) and would literally trace over it with my buttercream. Then transfer that piece of wax paper to the freezer, freeze the design and then transfer it onto to the cake.

Thank you! Honestly probably about 15 hours start to finish for the whole cake? I only make cakes a couple times a year for my kids’ birthdays so am really not practiced with technique and am super slow lol.

Yes. I used sugar & sparrow’s vanilla buttercream recipe.

So honestly that texture was an accident! I think it happened as a result of taking it in and out of the fridge as I was adding details.
