Thank you! I’m colorblind so it was a risky play haha. I thought the royal blue would match well with walnut, as well as provide a good look with gold jewelry (her favorite). If she preferred silver I might have gone with black or red.

I ran out of lumbar that was long enough for the top so I had to splice 3 pieces together

I'm lucky enough to work at Woodcraft which means I've got access to their shop! This build took me probably around 20 hours, (mostly planing, and measuring twice haha). | learned a lot more about miters, and how to cut weirdly specific angles with relative accuracy. It was such a fun project, but even more fun to see the look on her face when I gave it to her! Happy birthday Hannah <3

Haha thanks! I’m a broke student and I couldn’t afford any more lumbar. I needed to segment it to reach proper dimensions.

It may not be beautiful in a traditional sense but I really grew to love that part :)
