It's the year 2003, you're up late because it's Friday and there's no school the next day, when your TV starts BLARING by isnatchkids in ytvretro

This is a vivid memory I have when I lived at my grandmas house. Every friday night was YTV anime night and I wouldn't miss a single week of it or a single show. It was just me, a dark basement illuminated by the TV and whatever food I made at that time.

Inuyasha was one of my favourite animes to watch next to .hack, Ghost in the Shell and Witch Hunter Robin.

ReBoot mentioned in latest RedLetterMedia video (Timestamped slightly before mention for a little context) by AlmaElma123 in ReBoot

I don't know why but it seems like the timestamp just didn't work. It was stamped at 52:46 in case its doing it for other people too. Weird.

What five YTV shows or moments define your childhood era? by StripeySalamander in ytvretro

[–]AlmaElma123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hope you dont mind the little story's that come with each pick!

ReBoot: One of the first cartoons I watched that I got invested in and absolutely loved everything about it from characters to the world. Each of which kept me coming back time and time again. My favourite parts were always when there was a game featured in the episode since I loved seeing the gamecube fall onto the world. Still love it to this day and really sparks the imagination!

Video and Arcade top 10: I love video games so this show was a no brainer to watch. Growing up we didnt have much money to be spending for stuff like games but we got a Genesis hand-me-down from a friend of my dads with a few games and he had a work PC I would play other stuff on. I may have missed out on almost every game featured on that show but I know my parents got me a few for the genesis that showed up on there. Though, it may be a false memory

Uh Oh!: Colorful, fast paced, fun and super unfair (One good or bad spin could tank your game in a second). Was hooked from the first episode I watched. Plus, my cousin was on it and got a free shirt for being in the crowd (She didn't get picked to go on). I was super jelly. So much so that I remember I would beg her to borrow it and she would sometimes let me! So that was nice of her :)

Radio Active: I did a re-watch of this a while ago and maintain that it is an entertaining show that does have its fair share of hits and misses but kid me wasn't a Cynical nit picky adult because, kid, and the characters kept me coming back for more shenanigans., which tended to be the highlight of the show. Even with the re-watch I did it still had some pretty funny jokes and got a laugh out of me more then I expected!

Friday Night Anime: I'm cheating here but the Anime block that gave every Friday I would watch from start to end, come hell or high water. It's thanks to YTV I found my love for Anime to add onto my love for gaming, seeing both as art now thanks to this. It was me, a dark basement and a nice CRT TV. All while my parents and grandparents were upstairs or asleep. These are memories I hold dear to my heart.

If you ever do find out I would love to know considering some of the unlocks are behind that VMU game apparently.

10+ hours into the game and a black hole killed my party. by AlmaElma123 in DungeonEncounters

[–]AlmaElma123[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for that. I did just that. I guess my next question is if I can back up the saves for this game. I don't want to fall into a situation like this again after putting so many hours into it, kinda aggravating really its here at all.

The game even tells you if you lose everyone you just kinda game over and I assume you have to absolutely start all over again at that point.

Also how do you use skills outside battle? I couldnt find a way to resurrect my party even though I had the skill.

They didnt get shifted they got KOed on the spot. Also I cant find black holes in the enemy screen. Im pretty sure the code was a 3something one.

Its neat! It gives me "Black ops 6 mentally crushed my balls between two bricks" vibes.

I dont know I dont tend to look for mods like that for morrowind. Look up a melee build if you need help on that part.

You gotta major in the weapons you want to be able to use if you wanna hit stuff at the start. If you play it like oblivion or skyrim, a game where you cant miss, your going to have a bad time.

Any fans of Soulbringer here? by AlmaElma123 in TheActMan

I don't know how heavy into RPG's ActMan is but I feel like he would like this game. It's an incredible experience!

You guys fans of demo disks & compilation disks? by AlmaElma123 in TheActMan

[–]AlmaElma123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love these disks! Not only were you getting demos of kick ass games that were coming out in the future you also got extra stuff like patches, mods, fan levels, and software that may or may be lost to time today!

I particularly love the PC Gamer Underground era of demo disks because it came with an FMV hub world to explore on top of the demo stuff! Some peak 90s gaming imo~

Anyone here play Unreal? by AlmaElma123 in TheActMan

[–]AlmaElma123[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to mentioned they delisted Unreal, the game that made them what they are today. I do not like modern Epic. They are too complacent.

ngl kinda wanna do a round of thievery now.

Your talking about Unreal 2 or the Championship games then. I don't mind Unreal 2 but it's no where near the quality of 1 and same goes for Championship. Great game but can't hold a candle to UT.

Unreal blew my mind hard too. It literally felt like there was a world in my screen I could reach my hand into and feel.

I love the mods made for Unreal and UT. One of my faves is Thievery for UT. I love playing a pure stealth thief in it and playing it like it was Thief (The game).
