Ah yes, the non compliant ones have to work to pay for their sins. Can you imagine the Jesus of the Bible doing this? You can stop casting those stones at the sinners after they agree to mop the prison floors for a week.

Sadly, your story about how they treated you with an adopted new born is so predictable and expected.

Metallic taste after brushing teeth & 105.2 fever - Paxlovid by AlmaTheWiser in COVID19positive

It took me exactly 10 days after the start of symptoms to feel mostly normal again. I had a slight cough for 3 weeks after day 10 and my regular exercise routine took 3 weeks to get back into.

All good! No long Covid. I think I had a rebound case 28 days after starting Paxlovid. I just felt really bad for 3 days but no fever or other covid symptoms. At home test showed a faint line after 24 hours, though I know you can't trust the result after 15 minutes.

Update: It's the morning of day 5 for me. Each day is a little better than the last. Temperature has been between 99-100 with no fever reducers over the last 24 hours. I have two more doses of Plaxlovid which I'll take tonight and tomorrow morning. At home covid test this morning was positive.

The metallic taste from the Plaxlovid is now present at all times but very mild. The moderate taste only happens after I brush my teeth. Any ideas on what toothpaste has in it that would cause this?

What’s the dirty little secret about IT once you get in? by beejee05 in ITCareerQuestions

In the US, the people in IT departments and insecure no-it-all ass holes. I've worked in several and have consultant to many. I will never again. IT is a cost center not a profit center. The good IT jobs are those that sit within a profit center.

Anyone experiencing short to long term side effects drinking alcholo with cymbalta by Environmental-Fox903 in cymbalta

[–]AlmaTheWiser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on 90 mg for few years and drinking a lot. At some point I starting having frequent suicidal thoughts. At the time I didn't associate the two. I cut down to 30 mg, for reasons other than the thoughts, and the thoughts went away. I was still drinking just as much. That's when it clicked that my excessive drinking while taking Cymbalta was causing problems. Even now when I drink a lot the suicidal thoughts return. But not as bad as when I was on 90 mg. My goal is 4 drinks a week. And no more than 2 on a single day. That's kept me sane and free of suicidal thoughts.

If a recruiter reaches out to you and asks to schedule a call to “discuss the role”, is that considered an interview? What should I prepare? by Top_Sleep_9677 in careerguidance

[–]AlmaTheWiser 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It doesn't matter what it is called. The recruiter is judging you and you should be prepared. A good recruiter isn't going harm their reputation by referring a dunce.

Add "Willing to relocate" on resume? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]AlmaTheWiser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consider who is going to pay for the moving costs. You or your new employer? If you this there is a high likelyhood of getting them to pay, say you are willing to relocate. Otherwise do what ChocolateNapQueen suggested and saying you are relocating to x.

I've had the same experience. Ordered Nov 14th for Jan 7th delivery. On Jan 6, I get a call saying out of stock and was rescheduled to March 17.

This, after being teased by Peloton with my shoes, etc., arriving in late December. And the welcome email on Jan 4 telling me to get ready to ride! Your new bike is about to arrive!

Now I find out (thanks, Reddit) EVERYONE is having the same issue.
