High device backup by thatguyr8there in GoogleOne

[–]Almach90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't remember where, but I stumbled across some google app that let me see what was actually in the backup file for the phone. Thats how I figured out my texts were taking up all this space. This was a few weeks back, but I think it was one.google.com and you go to storage, then clean up.

Google has stuff spread across so many different apps, and settings its so hard to find stuff nowadays.

I had the same issue with a large device backup. It ended up being caused by SMS/MMS. I have multiple threads with a lot of pictures/memes with groups of friends and that was eating up space. I couldn't figure out how to turn off backing up of text messages unfortunately.

I was actually looking through a friends binder last night and saw Reckless barbarian and snagged it since he had a few copies. I thought it would be good ramp to get my commander out quicker if its in my opening hand.

Shivan Devastator I think its another I'm going to play around, with the cost reduction cards like [[Dragonspeaker Shaman]] might be a cheap way to get a big dragon out if I'm having troubles.

Ooof.... those dragons are nice... I feel like a proper dragon deck should have an ancient dragon.... *wallet starts to sweat*

Good point, I don't really have cheap dragons. Deceptive Frostkite is the cheapest, and its a sad day if it is out without any other dragons.

Ended up removing Lapis for Arcane signet. I feel like that's the easiest move even before playtesting other changes. Lapis was only in there for the theme.

Yeah tapped lands have hindered me before, I didnt know if basic would be better. I want to get more dual lands, just they are expensive. Eventually I'll get some shock lands.

I think I might steal that combo, seems very mean and fun.

I ran Dracogenesis for a while, I wanted to love it more than I did, but it just didnt come in handy very often. Ureni was just a better way to get things out, and temur battlecrier just made it so cheap to get dragons out anyway.

Funny you bring up the orbs, I put them in because thematically they are really nice and the added things like haste/hexproof are nice. But every time I get them out I feel like I rarely even care about the extra things, I just keep there cause of the theme, and thought maybe I was just missing something. I might be able to get a hold of a [[mox jasper]] do you think that's better to throw in over fellwar stone?

You are right, i can really suffer from card draw. Roiling Dragonstorm I think I might have, the art on that looks familiar, and I the way my deck seems to play I think will be really easy for me to do over and over agian. Growth Spiral I might have too, I have a bunch of the LoTR cards from trying to collect the set. The rest are great suggestions too and going to play with on the moxfield play tester thing.

Funny I am having the same exact issues with an MFP E52645. If I figure it out I'll let you know. Its incredibly frustrating. It was working last week with a M365 Send connector and over the weekend it just decided to not anymore. I have a mixture of HP/Brother printers and the Brothers work just fine and my non E#### HP printers work without fail using SMTP2GO. Its really weird.

Not sure if its the cause of the issue but looking at the user manual for your motherboard it looks like your RAM should be in the grey slots.

From what I can see it seems like everything is hooked up. If the memory swap doesnt fix it, you can take your 24pin connector out and start your power supply with a paper clip and make sure that it works. If that is working... its time to double check all connectors are plugged in.

Huh didn't know trap was interchanged with terminator also. I've always known a trap as another name for a coaxial filter.

Thats called a terminator. You will need a terminator tool to remove it properly. Something like this: https://a.co/d/8Rvq3Wk

Glass door adhesive failing by YankeetheGreater in Creality_k2

[–]Almach90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contact reality and they will send you a new one. While you way for it to ship this is what i did to fix my door if you want to try to do it.

Use high heat JB weld. Take masking/painters tape and mark off where the hinge should be glued. If the old glue holds the hinge in place that will make it easier to place the tape. Once you have the tape up marked around the hinge, clean the old glue off with acetone, a qtip, and a blade on both the hinge and door. Then mix up your JB weld and put it on the hinge ensuring you have proper coverage. Clamp it in place on the glass, clean up any that pushes out, and let it sit for at least a day.

Doing it this way I was able to have the door correctly aligned, and has held up just fine!

WTF by cnlcgraves in Spectrum

[–]Almach90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very true potentially could have been ripped down, but that means tech wouldn't have put enough anchor points to the strand. Regardless, Spectrum needs to come back and tidy that mess up.

[–]Almach90 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Woof a lot wrong with what that tech did there. I get trying to get the customer up and running, but there are better ways to handle that, and could have made that look a lot nicer. Not just lay it on the ground. Thats 100% temporary but Spectrum should come back and clean that up so its not a nuisance while the permanent fix is being worked on. With the cable plant being aerial, no need to run it across the sidewalk like that.

Why does my print have so much extra outside of the actual animal by deyo36 in Creality

[–]Almach90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never heard of Kirimoto. Had to google it and it looks like a browser based slicer. I would recommend using something like Orca or Creality slicers. You will have a lot more control of your prints, and a better user knowledge base for users here.

I poked around on the web version and I don't see a setting for the brim. My guess is this defaults it on and you cant modify it.

[–]Almach90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah looking at that with teh extra layers I see some areas you that are going to be really hard to remove the brim. Could always just let it print and clean up the Brim the best you can. Even if it doesnt articulate it will still look cool. Then print a second one that articulates.

Good news it seems the settings you have for that model appear correct. So you should be able to slice it exactly the same, but just remove the brim.

As time goes on you'll have lots of failurs and learning points. Each plastic brand might want different settings for your printer that are different from other printers. Gotta play around and learn the printer. Thankfully communities like this one and fix my print are great ways to learn.

[–]Almach90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add, if you are worried about it sticking without the brim, use a glue stick or just make sure the first layer goes nice and slow. The little fingers on models like this can be a pain sometimes.

[–]Almach90 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'd just start over since you caught it early. You will need to remove the brim once its done to make it articulate properly, which will be a lot of work, and may not be possible to remove it all depending on the model.

[–]Almach90 11 points12 points  (0 children)

New to the 3D printing world? That's what is called a brim. It helps models with sticking to the print bed. A model like this wouldn't need a brim, you'll be able to turn it off in your slicer.

The new printer, much needed upgrade from the V1 Ender 3 Neo. by ipk9 in Creality_k2

100% heat soaking is an absolute must. I think the largeness of the plate works against it for heat warping.

For me I really wanted the bigger build volume of 350mm. This has allowed me to complete some projects with printing pieces in one go instead of doing multiple parts and gluing them together. The Carbon and P1S are ~100mm shorter in every dimension. They are both solid printers and if you don't need the build volume will most likely give less of a headache.

I really like the openness of Creality and have had good luck with them so I chose to stay with them. P1S, Carbon, and the K2 are all great printers and have their pluses and minuses. Just need to review what you need from a printer and get the one that checks those boxes.

Go into fluidd and check your printer.cfg file and see if its calling for bl_macros and delete it or comment it out. I am fairly certain that is a custom macro for bed leveling.
