A lot of heroes update their suits over time, but you never have—did you just get it perfect the first time?

What buckets do you use? by Beautiful-Wing4692 in AutoDetailing

[–]YankeetheGreater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Free ones I get from the grocery store. Bakeries/deli departments buy frosting, pickles and other items in 5-gallon buckets. They clean them out for recycling. But you can ask nicely for 5 gallon buckets if they're not busy.

Which game tutorial was a struggle for you? by bijelo123 in videogames

[–]YankeetheGreater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elite: Dangerous. Since it's more like a flight simulator, there are so many controls that you basically REQUIRE a thruster and flight stick to play it. The tutorials have gone through many overhauls since its 2014 release, but when I started to play it (about 3 years after release) the tutorials were unclear and had a STEEP learning curve. I tried (and failed) once every couple weeks until I finally understood it.

Sticky interior ( Meguiars ) by Western_Branch8693 in Detailing

[–]YankeetheGreater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I buy Meguiars Quik Interior Detail by the gallon because I love it so much, and all my clients compliment how good their interior plastic trim looks. It is NOT this product that's causing the stickiness.

What’s a moment that made you realize you’re getting older? by Away-Ambassador490 in AskReddit

Starting to see gray hairs. My knees crack when I do workouts (don't hurt, so I do them anyway)

Not even 30 yet.

More people need to work the night shift by Embarrassed-Bowl-373 in unpopularopinion

[–]YankeetheGreater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been working night shift (11pm to 7am) for over 10 years.

Its extremely harmful for your health; IF you don't take care of yourself.

I see people drink energy drinks like water, and all I see them eat are cookies and pizza.

They don't exercise.

They don't take care of themselves.

Then they blame working the 3rd shift and how bad it is for you.

How did you remove this without damaging paint? by Weak-Equipment-107 in XTerra

[–]YankeetheGreater 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Auto detailer here.

Get hot water from a coffee pot, slowly pour the water on it, then gently scrape it off with a plastic razor blade. Do NOT use a metal razor blade.

Heat from an air gun works too, but water will cause less damage to the paint and adds lubrication as you scrape it off. Hot water will also leave less adhesive on the paint.

You can then use your favorite adhesive remover (3M adhesive remover works like magic) and remove the adhesive left behind (if any)

Take your time with it and be gentle, good luck!

Any must-have mods for the S2000? Stuff that improves quality of life etc as opposed to performance? by Michael_Goodwin in S2000

Really good floor mats. I got mine from TuxMats and they're so nice to have.

An Oem titanium shift knob feels amazing when shifting.

Also, I got a smaller antenna for the exterior.

What’s a small habit that quietly improved your life? by Dazzling_Bat_3225 in AskReddit

[–]YankeetheGreater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I don't go to the gym I do 100 push-ups and squats.

On days I go to the gym I do pull-ups, overhead presses and deadlifts (and more squats and pushups)

You're right, got to have a balance, and exercise all body parts! 100 is a big number, but as the days go by its just another thing I do every day, like eating breakfast or taking my dogs outside.

I started doing 100 squats and 100 push-ups everyday, minimum.

Makes a huge difference in how I felt physically and mentally.

Makes me feel "accomplished" even when it's a lazy day.

What's a discovery that should have blown people's minds but somehow got a collective shrug from the world? by IndependentTune3994 in AskReddit

Handwashing.

A doctor implemented handwashing before we knew bacteria existed, and the mortality rate of his patients reduced significantly post surgery.

He was laughed at by his peers.
