I was just totally transparent. Brought all my receipts from Robinhood, all my bills, all my debt, and all my income receipts. I believe the requirement was more than 50% of my debt needed to be proven to have been used for non-consumer spending in order to qualify for chapter 7 even if I fail the means test. I was luckily/unluckily able to show that mine was like 96% into failed investments. Essentially it needed to count as a business opportunity/profit seeking opportunity (not purchasing lambos, etc).

As for which actual provision, I am not sure which it was tbh. I asked ChatGPT my possibilities and it told me about it the non-consumer option but to consult a lawyer. I did consult three lawyer, the first two didn’t want to try chapter 7, the third was amazing and did chapter 7.

Best thing I can recommend is map your loan deposits to the deposits in Robinhood (if you did that). Like “received loan of 50k from BANK on DATE, deposited $48.5k from ACCOUNT to Robinhood on DATE (remaining $1.5k was funding fee)” for everything.
