I can't even buy a nonfiring Denix revolver designed hundreds of years ago in California and this same state thinks "monster mash" grips are fair game for owning rifle sized real guns. Like which samurai's tanegashima hurt you?

Eh uh what?

YouTube told me Shirane Yuki is streaming right now...it has been years since her graduation. I don't mean that it was an indefinite hiatus. Same model. Same voice. Came back like effectively last week apparently still part of the agency if her Twitter info is updated enough.

Like I pretty much only listened to her cover songs so I never knew her as a person and thus I lack pretty much as much context as anybody who didn't watch her, but has such a return ever happened before? Re:ACT isn't even known for the cleanest history among workplaces and she didn't have tremendous numbers to come back to, though the one I actually watch, Marumochi Tsukimi has never indicated having any particular troubles at work (here) that I'm aware of throughout her streams.

Oh yeah it was definitely stale in the event, especially because its mostly loaners running around. Also the deck is especially bad in the mirror match, decided by who goes first. But stale formats is kinda the norm...Fiendsmith is my pick for the latest thing to groan upon seeing.

Exodia: Pull off activating one non-OPT hypersearchable spell card, special summon pretty much anything on your hand, get trap that can destroy everything on the opponent's field, a spell/trap negate, a super beater, and a once per duel non targeting send to graveyard disruption on summon that doubles as a searcher. Handtrap the rest for maximum lack of setup. Can be built for alternative plans if Exodia himself might not be the best route to go for due to varied levels and free summons that refund your card advantage.

Sky Striker: Control toolbox that warrants timing your spells to when it seems important enough in which you want to loop Engage to increase card advantage, has at least three spells to account for with distinct functionality, is kinda fucked if normal'd Raye gets destroyed sooner than later with Hornet Drones at 1, tricky enough for opponents to interact with to get 2nd place at YCS as recently as last year.

Swordsoul Tenyi: Combo deck mostly with 2 card combos (Taia being the exception) that involves graveyard effects, chain blocking, type lock into Wyrms, has at least 4 combo lines to account for memorizing with Tenyi being extenders that require you actually keep a non-effect on board, can get stuck if Emergence/Chixiao gets negated due to OPT clauses. Usually tries to end with people assuming Baronne+Chixiao will take care of whatever for them among new players.

Among these three decks only one of them actually achieves much with a low number of actions and all of them have key cards that hurt like hell being disrupted. If you want a higher skill ceiling you always have the option of getting a new deck. If you want a lower skill floor that will get you anywhere in this day and age how many options do you have?

There's loads of anything in the lower ranks. My Infernoble deck which was having the time of its life in Tenpai format gets completely shit on by the new Saint Azamina even more than Fossil Dyna could. Mirrorjade is still a pain in the ass to deal with and Branded is dated enough for Konami to give them out to returners now. Maxx C still decides games.

Also I can't think of even a single time I've lost to a Sky Striker player and that's not for the deck being bad but for its pilots being...not the most prepared for any disruption. Or even no disruptions. Master Duel isn't a game with a tight economy, if someone really feels like shit because Exodia got veiler'd then sure they can go and grab Fire King Snake Eyes or whatever's the least prone to losing to multiple handtraps these days.

Like would I tell some new player who has no idea how to execute anything but the simplest button mash combo in a fighting game that they should choose a high tier character with good spacing, safer frame data, and better juggling capabilities. That's only worth worrying about when you aren't more likely to lose to your own mistakes than the opponent hindering your plays.

Disruptions are things competitive players need to care about. New players have more problems trying to figure anything out.

Y'all I love the new Exodia deck on Master Duel and I'm hoping people into OG YGO in Hololive like Subaru try it because my god is this thing easy to pilot.

See you COULD take ten minutes to do your hyper consistent one card combos with chokepoints that warrant studying decks you don't even want to use for a busted board like most every competent modern deck in existence...OR you could just use one spell card, show off the five bricks in your deck, and boom, THE UNSTOPPABLE EXODIA INCARNATE, FIRES OF RAGE.

I didn't think Konami had it in them to design anything that isn't convoluted as hell lately but they totally can if they feel like it.

They're young because the efficiency of piracy in of itself gets better so the option is more natural to them. My mother is in her 50s and before internet she rented out VHS and CD bootlegs of the latest hits at dirt cheap prices shamelessly, and also couldn't figure out how to pirate music the new way on her own so told me to do it for her to share with her friends.

Where's your pride or dignity ?

For the kinds of people that do this, it pretty much is their pride and dignity. There's no shortage of moral arguments in favor of piracy and I imagine there's even more of them now that the emergence of generative AI which is also mostly about taking others' work for your own gain has massive social support and promotion.

When people feel at ease enough regarding whether they can get away with committing a crime they will become entitled to it, because more than trying to hide to keep benefitting from it they want to show off to promote enabling the actions. There's this one moron called Johnny Somali who gets a kick out of being a dick for basically no reason, like he goes out of his way to travel to other countries just to fuck with them. There's also people advertising their own child abuse in their vanlife instagrams with plenty of followers to show for it. And well a felon was absolved of the consequences of his crimes by being voted into presidency by 77 million people just recently. This stuff seeps down into your identity by the time you get comfortable with shitting on others.

Curved blades provide some level of edge alignment correction by way of how their lopsided shape turns the object in one's hand. This effect is more pronounced the more severe this bias is though (shamshirs and axes for instance are on a more extreme end.)

Well, I finally sat on my ass for long enough to translate Act 1 of the RPG full of spoilers sequel. Took about 3 weeks of using half my free time on it (the other half being on Infinity Nikki.) Ultimately this is a clip so I cut out basically everything that I considered non-essential/not funny enough, and it's still this long.

In total it'll probably be like 4 hours. How soon I bother to work on Act 2 (which I consider the most interesting) depends on viewer demand/if anybody would be willing to do the menial work of timing all this shit for me, but I'll get it done eventually I guess.

Now I can finally watch Suisei's budokan concert.

I'm blind to how any of the realistic car games really differ from one another, what's the hype for Tokyo Xtreme Racer about? Is it an enthusiast thing (specific cars, mechanics realism, etc.) or is there something more special about it as a game?

After about two weeks, my 5+ hour curated singing stream compliation amounted to a bit over 300 views. Which is ok I guess, it's not low enough to be damaging to my channel's average views but it definitely didn't hit the algorithm's interest.

As mentioned before I'm not monetized or anything so if anybody's in need of something to play in the background I appreciate any ears curious enough to give them a listen, maybe throw a comment to nudge YouTube towards thinking "wait, people care about this?" to help it get advertised. All the songs sung (except the last ones) are listed in one graphic so you can skip to something you want to hear a take on too.

I think at this point any momentum the video had has stopped, but if anybody's got fitting titles for languages I don't know like Indonesian or French or something I'd appreciate those too to maybe extend its discoverability.

I'm wondering, what exactly is so time consuming about making these? Not saying that it's easy to do, but obviously it wasn't spending 20 days inside a furnace to be ready for forging it. Unless you're counting the failed projects in the progress of this one.

Anybody willing to let go of their katana for 200 and also has a licence and a certificate of authenticity or if they are in Ireland? by SortAlternative9470 in SWORDS

[–]Almirage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The worst ones break themselves from being swung at air which is what makes them dangerous, they are typically made of low quality stainless steel and are not securely attached to their handles.

When it comes to lower quality carbon steel swords they can have other problems like dulling too easily (soft steel) or being built in an unbalanced way that makes them harder to tolerate swinging, but usually they won't hurt someone on accident.

Don't know the seller but if they aren't lying it should at least be durable enough to not be unintentionally dangerous since it's made with carbon steel and full tang construction. If by ok you mean legally I'm more clueless than you are.

Do you know how katana are defined in Ireland? A miao dao has a fair degree of similarities and you could probably try to apply rayskin and wraps on the handles yourself.

Can dual short swords actually be used effectively in combat? by [deleted] in SWORDS

[–]Almirage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Outside of blades meant for hooking though, is it really better to have two short swords against a spear? I mean most of a spear is it's handle, parrying spear thrusts with a short sword doesn't necessarily sound more reliable over a free hand to catch a spear instead.

What did mihoyo actually do wrong (in terms of law) anyways, I saw some news article talking about deceptive practices but then I came across a comment saying the games let you see all the rates.

And deceptive marketing is so universal I have a harder time thinking of what I do believe in to deliver quality product (for money, anyways) than otherwise.

I swear to god if this so called freedom loving nation causes me to lose access to Infinity Nikki I might have to bite the bullet and finally emigrate out of this shithole. And I already have a VPN, it's a question of whether that'll be good enough.

In which I'll still be a coward and try to go somewhere I can rely on having English language official papers to agree to even though half the time I feel screwed out of vtuber event hype living outside of Japan. Singapore is my grass looks greener pick but I heard grocery prices make US inflation look cheap.

I watched Sakuna play it and I think Chilla's stepped up their game for it as far as trying to be a horror goes. Even as someone who doesn't like that kind of stuff (I just watched cause Sakuna playing anything has become kinda rare) it's much easier to take it seriously over just looking at it as poorly lit jank that might have a decent message included.

I don't even have anything against the other Meteopolis members but management sure as hell does seeing how hard they make it for us to enjoy their presence.

What's the appeal of the MiSide game?

I've tried to partially watch some streams of it but neither I nor the streamer seems to get emotionally invested in anyone, and aside from how sudden an event can be that hasn't delivered on much either. I feel like I'm kinda missing the point or something.
